3D Visualisation of windPRO Projects

Easily export your windPRO layouts — turbines, PV areas, maps, and elevation — into SketchUp to build a complete 3D version of your project. Projects can be viewed on various devices or prepared for VR/AR use. Supports all major map formats and coordinate systems.

Create content for your Photomontages 

With a few mouse-clicks you can create vegetation, roads, fences and other 3D elements like BESS containers, transformers and transmission lines etc. Use GIS data or windPRO objects to define where it should go.

Work freely in SketchUp while maintaining direct compatibility with windPRO. Import or create 3D elements from SketchUp’s library or external sources and instantly use them in windPRO’s PHOTOMONTAGE. Calibrated photos, terrain data, and camera positions ensure accuracy and realism in every visualization.

Create illustrations 

A set of 3D creators makes it easy to create valuable illustrations for reports etc. showing the dimensions of elements like wind turbines and solar panels in a professional manner.

Show rotating turbines and visualize shadow flicker with realistic, time-dependent shading. SketchUp’s shadow calculator allows you to model daylight conditions and demonstrate environmental impact, including shadows on terrain and nearby buildings.

Share Anywhere with Flexible Export Options

After exporting your windPRO project to SketchUp, you can share all content through a web link that opens in any standard browser.

The project can also be saved in .kmz format for use in Google Earth. This enables quick and easy sharing of plant layouts, turbine positions, CFD results, and terrain overlays — ideal for collaboration with stakeholders, partners, or the public.
