Who should attend?
The course is recommended for windPRO users interested in learning how to perform layout optimisations (energy related optimisations).
Prerequisites
BASIS and EYA courses, or experienced users with good understanding of the BASIS module of windPRO (UI, object details, object layers, etc.), METEO module, and energy calculations in windPRO.
What you will learn
- Setting up the available area/land plots and restrictions/constraints
- Loading resource maps through result layers
- Setting up cost models in windPRO – learn how to add costs that can be used for the optimisation, but also in other modules like PARK and HYBRID
- Comprehend the tree structure of the OPTIMIZE module
- Setup and run the OPTIMIZE module for onshore optimisation for different objectives (AEP, LCOE and NPV)
- Comparing different turbine types, hub heights and wind farm capacities/sizes
- Create new optimised layouts from scratch or optimise existing ones
- Find the best subset of position (X best out of Y): useful for optimising with fixed positions e.g., repowering projects
