What you will learn
1. Learn how to run a noise calculation in windPRO
- Learn how to provide the input data for noise calculations, from wind turbine noise data to specifications on noise receptors and the noise propagation model
- Adapt the noise model to the local noise code and present the results in reports and tables.
2. Get a deep dive into noise models and parameters
- We will primarily work with the parameters of the ISO 9613-2 and the Nord2000 noise model
- Manage background noise sources
- Look into the wind direction and wind speed influence on noise calculations
- Include terrain effects like reflections and barriers in the calculation
3. Learn about noise curtailment and how to optimize it
- Introduction to the curtailment matrix
- Learn how to run a noise curtailment optimization while minimizing production losses
