On-Demand Time Series

With the EMD-WRF On-Demand service, windPRO users can instantly generate high-resolution (3 km/hourly) mesoscale wind time series anywhere in the world, directly from within windPRO. The service uses the industry-standard WRF model, run on EMD’s own high-performance computing cluster.

How it works – simple 1-2-3 setup

  1. Purchase meso credits from EMD.
  2. Define your location, period, and boundary data in windPRO.
  3. Run the calculation—the time series is automatically added to your windPRO project.

Proven Accuracy

Validation with over 150 global mast locations shows correlation coefficients (R) typically between 0.7 and 0.9, depending on terrain and weather complexity.

Instant Integration with windPRO

All results are delivered as a Meteo Object directly in windPRO:

  • Wind speed & direction, turbulence (10–200 m)
  • Temperature (2 m, 100 m), solar radiation
