We are excited to announce the release of a new service pack for energyPRO 5.0. This update introduces several important enhancements—especially for hydraulic transmissions.
What is new
- In addition to hydraulic settings for heat transmissions, it is now possible
to configure hydraulic transmissions for cooling and process heat.
- As with heat transmissions, you can define flow and return temperatures at
the sites, along with pipe length, diameter, and other relevant transmission parameters.
- Combine standard and hydraulic transmissions in the same model. You simply select the transmission type for each connection.
- Water properties vary with temperature, and we’ve updated the friction factor calculation for greater accuracy.
Other improvements
- We have integrated the latest version of the HiGHS MILP solver (v1.11) for improved optimization.
- The bar chart visualization supports stacked bars as percentages—a helpful feature for clearer data insights.
- This update also includes a number of bug fixes to improve overall stability and performance.
